It is time to learn how to market your coaching program! Now that you have launched your new career or side hustle, the most essential part of growing your business is marketing. There are several different ways to market your coaching program, all of which have their own benefits and serve a purpose. Ultimately, you will end up with a mix of these 5 elements depending on what is working for your market.
1) Social Media
Social media is an organic way to reach potential customers. We recommend that every coach has their own social media presence and uses it to connect with their existing audience and as a tool to expand the reach and build a new audience. A solid rule for social media is trying to post every day, as it helps build consistency.
Tik-Tok and Instagram reels are some of the best tools for building a new audience and reaching new accounts. These pieces of content are quick, easy to create, and tend to be educational or comedy relating to your particular niche.
2) Email Marketing
Email marketing continues to return some of the highest ROI of all of the digital marketing strategies. Of course, this depends on the quality of your list, but if you can get the correct market subscribed to an email list, you have an excellent chance to turn a solid % of that list into coaching clients. You can offer small free trainings to your email list, and hope to book them as a client as time goes on. To help automate your email marketing, use an email service like Klayvio or Mailchimp.
3) Cold Messages / DM
One of the key methods to get clients is to reach out to them directly in the coaching industry. Facebook and Instagram messages have a high response rate. If you can identify a group of accounts that fits your target market, you have a good chance of developing some very warm leads through this strategy.
Develop a script that you use for messages to automate the process. Track how well the script does over 20-30 messages, change it, and then test a new version. If you do this enough, you will find that certain words or approaches will convert much better than others. The more data you can get, the better you can optimize the process going forward. Ultimately, if done right, this can be a potent tool to help grow your business.
4) Facebook Groups
Facebook groups are one of the most underrated places to market your service. There are thousands of Facebook groups just waiting to be tapped into full of people who need your coaching service! There are two main strategies you can pursue with Facebook groups:
The first strategy is to create your own Facebook group and get people into your group. This creates a very warm pool of leads and allows you to market your future offerings into this group.
The other strategy to market your coaching program is to go post and create activity in other people’s Facebook groups. This strategy allows you to tap into groups that already have thousands of members, and by showing that you add value, you will get people messaging you from these groups. Use these messages to then form relationships and book clients!
